       Phil Buechler became a Christian as an adult, earned a degree in political science and trained as a pastor.
        He pastored a Minnesota church for seven years before launching his world-wide ministry of church planting and teaching in 1986. Many of the church plants are in areas of the world where persecution of Christians is a constant threat.
      Today he and his wife Denise pastor the C3 Long Island Church in Huntington, New York. The book, In the World, Not of It, showcases a selection of teachings to varied audiences of English speakers from many parts of the world.        After the publication of this book, Phil moved to Collierville, Tennessee, and later to the Atlanta, Georgia, area, and still later to New York, but he continues traveling, usually accompanied by a team of family and friends. One project is planting large numbers of churches focused on people in their teens and twenties (but not hostile to other ages).
