Walkers That DO Things!

The January 2007, edition of The Walking Horse Journal continues the discovery of running walk in breeds other than the Tennessee Walking Horse with an article about hypo-allergenic, gaited American Bashkir Curly horses.  Mailed Dec. 29, 2006.  Use the subscription form link below to make sure you get a copy of this exclusive report.

Coming in the March 2007 WHJ, more about Walking Horses for endurance racing.  And what do you do with your Walkers?  Ads and submissions welcome, see guidelines elsewhere on this web site.  Deadling for March is Feb 1, 2007.

Six times a year subscribers receive the only US magazine published specifically for people who own, use and train running walk gaited horses for work and pleasure.

Any given edition may include special articles on training, letters from readers, ranch reports, tips on trails to ride, health care information and preparedness help for disasters. Articles trace unusual blood lines, color genetics, and much more.
The Walking Horse Journal pointedly ignores shows and the politics associated with showing. That leaves room for ranch horses used for rounding up cattle, trail horses used in search and rescue and trail patrol, Walking horses used in reining and jumping events, and back yard pets.
Advertisers offer horses for sale, promote registries and associations, and anything else that seems suitable.  The Journal's parent company, Four Craftsmen Publishing, advertises books and special offers from time to time.
Subscriptions are $20 per year in the US, $30 elsewhere. An optional on-line download version is under development with access by password. This will speed up receipt of each edition for customers outside the North American continent if speed is more important to them than the quality of a printed magazine.
